Week in Review -

January 26th, 2018 - Week in Review

I’m just going to get this out there. I’m terrible at writing blog posts. I remember maybe three times a year that this is something I should be doing, so I quickly write something, post it on my website, and forget until another 4 months go by. Well, not anymore (hopefully)!

On Fridays, I’m going to wrap up the week by let you know what I’ve been working on, what cool things are happening, and internet things I’ve found and have to share. So here it goes!

What I’ve Been Working On

Wholesale Orders for Valentine’s Day

This week has been primarily filled with packaging *so many* cards for wholesale orders. I’d show you a picture, but my studio was/is a crazy mess, so I didn’t snap any, haha. If I’m packaging during normal work hours, I like to listen to Podcasts (a few of my favorites are Revolutions by Mike Duncan and Proof to Product by Katie Hunt of Tradeshow Bootcamp), and if I’m burning that midnight oil, I reward myself by watching shows on Hulu (and I’ve been binging Brooklyn 99 all this week. If you haven’t watched it, you really should. I actually laugh out loud when watching it).

All this to say, that our cards will soon be in Paperie + Pen, MADE, The Ripped Bodice, Two Cumberland, Kiko + Sven, Moss, Red Ribbon (our first Canadian stockist!), and Magpie Designs, and if you're close geographically, you should go visit!

Hot Yoga

Because it’s January and you’re supposed to care about your personal wellbeing during this month, I’ve started going to hot yoga. I have a love hate relationship with hot yoga. I love it because when I make it through a class (especially without having to go into child’s pose an awkward amount of times), I feel like a super chill badass. I hate it because I’m terrible at it and it makes me feel like I’m going to die. This is week one of four, and I’m definitely interested in seeing if I make it.

Cool Things That Are Happening

My “Hobbies” card was featured on The Huffington Post! You can check that out here!

And I’ve been working on designing new cards for the Spring things (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Graduation, New Babies, etc.) I’m almost finished (ish), so next week will be filled with completing all of the fun stuff that comes with a card release (catalog, line sheet, product photos, uploading it to all of the different platforms). Because I’m absolutely terrible at keeping a secret, I’ll share with you one of my favorites from the upcoming release.

Cool Internet Things

So this would usually be the place for some cool internet things, but I’m going to be honest. I totally forgot to find some this week. I’m still working on my coffee from this morning, and it’s 6 pm. Obviously I’m in a place of struggle, haha. I promise in future weeks, I’ll get my shit together and give you all three parts of the Friday wrap up I’ve promised!

I hope you have a great weekend!

Cheers!
Katie
